Our amazing team of volunteers, and our partners Sevenoaks District Council are committed to providing support and companionship to those in the Sevenoaks area who are recognising issues with their memory or cognition as well as their carers, family and friends.
Our Volunteers and Trustees wholeheartedly believe in raising awareness, supporting our community and having fun!
The Sevenoaks Area Dementia Friendly Community formed in 2015 and registered as a charity in 2019.
The group started out with the aim of raising awareness of good dementia practices and services. Soon after we started raising money through ‘Run, walk or push against dementia’, facilitating sponsorship and donations to provide free local groups for people living with dementia and their families.
We provide ‘Forget-me-not cafés’ across the Sevenoaks District. Companionship over a cuppa, peer support and entertaining activities for people living with memory loss.
If you need personal or physical support please come with a family member or a carer. Please make us aware of any food allergies. Volunteers are not responsible your personal care or for what you choose to consume.
